My son was put on HOLD status last night. Still holding out hope for an appointment and trying to keep his spirits high in light of his senior year being diminished with this pandemic. He was looking forward to all the normal high school senior things, prom, trips, banquets. He was most looking forward to award ceremonies for the class and for NJROTC. He has applied for MANY scholarships for school and his guidance counselor assured him that his name would be called for these multiple times. He has worked so hard for so long, but may not even get the same public recognition as others have in the past. Anyone have any statistics on waitlist appointments? He will wait until June to find out about appointments, but his backup is enlisting in the Navy, and with a 97 score on his ASVAB he has already been assured he will get his first pick which is the Nuclear program path. Maybe even the officers path that way. We will continue to wait and be hopeful!
