My DS was on hold for 2023 and received TWE in May. Encouraged by his admin officer he self prepped at MMI as a recruited athlete and reapplied for 2024. The year allowed him to improve in every way SAT up 50, grades good at MMI (3.2) and much improved leadership (squad leader and club president at MMI), last week status moved to hold:( Anyone have an idea of how many on hold actually move to appointment status?

I was on hold for about 2 months and eventually received an appointment on Feb 27.

I was put on hold on March 5th. I called my admissions officer yesterday and he told me I was in the top 20% of the hold list. I was told I had about a 60% chance of getting in. Today I was informed I had been given an appointment through my senator. I am a reapplication as well. Crazy turn off events in the past 24hrs.

My son was put on HOLD status last night. Still holding out hope for an appointment and trying to keep his spirits high in light of his senior year being diminished with this pandemic. He was looking forward to all the normal high school senior things, prom, trips, banquets. He was most looking forward to award ceremonies for the class and for NJROTC. He has applied for MANY scholarships for school and his guidance counselor assured him that his name would be called for these multiple times. He has worked so hard for so long, but may not even get the same public recognition as others have in the past. Anyone have any statistics on waitlist appointments? He will wait until June to find out about appointments, but his backup is enlisting in the Navy, and with a 97 score on his ASVAB he has already been assured he will get his first pick which is the Nuclear program path. Maybe even the officers path that way. We will continue to wait and be hopeful!

Off Hold, BFE came in today!!!!!! I could not be prouder of my DS. Following in the old mans foot steps. He has worked very hard, now the real work can begin. For any of you that go from Hold to TWE, don't give up. After TWE last year My DS was self sponsor at MMI. It's a very good avenue, not fun....but good
