How can I visit West Point?

I am beginning the application process to West Point and I would like to visit the campus sometime soon. I attended a CVW at USNA and am wondering if West Point offers anything similar to that. I see on the admissions website that there are day tours for candidates, but I’m wondering if there is an option for a more in depth visit.

I would recommend applying for SLE if you have not done so. At this point, I believe SLE will be in person this year for the first time in three years. As for visits, if you are not in a military family with DOD ID that can gain you access to USMA, then the only candidates who I believe are being granted visits currently are those who have been offered an appointment. You might also consider coming up for a football game weekend in the fall.
 
One other option is to attend one of the sports camps at USMA this summer. My students have enjoyed them, and it has allowed them to meet cadets and coaches along with seeing the school itself and staying in the dorms. You can find them at the website: GoArmyWestPoint.com -- also, the same can be said for USAFA, USNA and USCGA.
