How do the prep schools work?

I was wondering how the prep schools work, I know there is Marion Military Academy and New Mexico Military Academy, are these the only two? If so how does it work when coming back to USCGA are you in plebe year or do you move onto third class year?

There are no plebes at USCGA.

All start as first-year, no skipping to next class. One of the purposes of the prep year is to prepare candidates to handle the academics of the first year at USCGA.
