I completed the CFA and my high school P.E teacher uploaded the scores. How will I ever know if I passed the CFA?
I don't know if this is 100% true. While you are training you should treat the averages as your minimums. However, they are the averages because half of all candidates score better and half score worse. So while extremely bad scores will get you deemed non-competitive, one or two events that are slightly below average combined with above average scores should be fine. Also, remember that the goal of the CFA is to make sure you can handle the physical aspect of USAFA. So if you find that you are struggling with a certain event, keep working on it so it won't hold you back in BCT. Good luck! The CFA isn't a pass/fail exam for USAFA. The academy provides average and maximum scores on their website, but you should treat the averages as the minimums. If you fall below the average scores, you don't automatically fail, but your scores won't be competitive.
I've been seeing this rumor recently and I feel like I should dispell it:You must also remember to add to @crymsonwynters comment that not everyone gets a retake. They will give you a retake if they see that you are competitive enough. You can talk to the counselor for confirmation.
You are correct. I think what they meant as if it was after your deadline. I’m pretty sure if you fail the CFA and you have everything else done they will give you a second change assuming you’re competitive. Could totally be wrong but that’s how I’ve always understood it.I've been seeing this rumor recently and I feel like I should dispell it:
From the Instructions to Candidates, Page 15:
"If you fail the first CFA prior to your deadline, you will automatically be rescheduled for a second CFA."
Please correct me if I'm wrong, and I would like to hear from an ALO on this, but USAFA says "if you fail", not "if you fail and we deem you competitive enough"
