How easy is it to switch SLE sessions?

I got into both USAFASS and NASS. I'm really excited but my first choice would be SLE (WP is my primary goal) which I have not received notice of. If I got in to SLE how easily would I be able to switch my session dates? I am thinking of declining both USAFASS and NASS if the possiblity of not being able to go to SLE is too great. Any thoughts?

USNA Summer Seminar is fully refundable, so if you had to cancel, that is the one. Not sure if USAFA Summer Seminar is refundable.

I m a current member of USMA 27’ and I went to SLE last year. I initially chose the first session but had to switch to the second because some important events came up. All I did was email the POC in charge of SLE at the time and I was able to get switched. When I got to USMA for SLE there were a few complications with finding my name tag and room on the first day but everything got sorted out very quickly.

The good news is that you have initiated the application process. I tell all of my students that being invited to SLE (or the other seminars) is 'gravy.' Congratulations on your selections for NASS and AFA SS. Keep in mind that the majority of cadets (and midshipmen) did not attend SLE or other summer seminars.

By the way, if you are not selected for SLE, there are other great ways to see USMA. One good route is by attending one of the USMA summer sports camps. Many of my students have participated in them across all of the SAs. Students stay in the dorms, eat in the mess hall, meet cadets and staff, and they also work with the coaching staff.
