How long does it take to get medically qualified?

Lots of variables. Too general a question. Have you taken your exams already?:wiggle:

If you’d like, you may send me an email: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4 SSN; provide the text of your Parent's posting above to YOUR email. Mine was relatively quick but I feel like that could have been because I started the process early. I made significant progress on USMA’s app in July so my name was put into dodmets, I scheduled my appointments for late July, and ended up finding out I was qualified in mid-august. Then when I submitted subsequent candidate kits, my name got put in their dodmerb’s and qualifications were pretty instantaneous. Best of luck to you, and I hope you get an answer soon!

Our DD completed her medical requirement in November and her USMA portal still says medical is pending.

fchockeyguy - Answered DD. The information you provided was not correct. She has been pending the completion of 2 x questionnaires since 16 Dec....:wiggle:

Mr @MullenLE . Where would their daughter find the forms? Which log in/pages? It could be the kid not knowing where to look. Thank you for answering during the long weekend.

As I explained to the 18 year old applicant, when she checks her DoDMERB portal, the forms will be there as well as the specific instructions:wiggle:

Thank you Mr. Mullen. You are tremendously generous with your time.
As for the dad...sometimes a lack of activity is a message, too. Worth having the conversation if your kid is not upstairs filling in those papers already. You cannot want it more than your child.

Previously, I would have been more didactic, but in these heightened stages of diplomacy, I concur with Sec of State Dr Mom 101%....

Again, I certainly appreciate the family that has one, possibly two, and rarely three applicants. I receive my 50 year pin for federal service tomorrow. I see dozens er day, 7 days per week. I just try to illuminate what perceptions exist vs what is reality...like trying to define "history of" means it happened...the waiver authorities will determine the current stats and prognosis while rendering their "risk assessment" waiver decision.

The standard reply is...but I'm fine now.... :zip::benny monkeysmilies:

I appreciate Mr. Mullen for helping our DD figure out the documents she needed to fill out. When she had went to the DODMETS portal under the "Next Tasks" there was a statement of "These are the recommended next tasks you should complete in the DoDMETS process" but there wasn't anything there. On the left side under the Applicant side all of her boxes were checked green. It also said her case was currently "closed" as of 12/1/2021 and that all of her forms had been received. Thankfully Mr. Mullen told her to click on the dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil link and told her what forms to fill out as she didn't know those were needed. Congratulations on your years of service and thank you again for your help!
