How long would it take

I got my results in from the medical checkups. I qualified for both USMA and USAF but not USNA (so obviously its not that bad). Officially, it says i have a "color vision deficiency" but i just have trouble distinguishing between between certain shades of some colors. I'm only applying to USMA and USNA if it matters.

How long would it take me to get a waiver for this. Also, how would i go about getting a waiver for this.

My DS also had a color deficiency remedial for USNA, but was fine for USAFA. He had a FALANT test done at a military treatment facility and passed with no problem. We faxed the results to DoDMERB...no waiver needed!

what is his FALANT test, I think I'm in the same category as your ds. I'm pretty sure I can see in full color

He actually had a remedial code of R152.32 "Obtain a FALANT color vision test at a Military Treatment Facility". A FALANT (Farnsworth Lantern) test in short, tests your red/green vision using red, green and white lights...
