How often are ACT/SAT scores updated on the portal?

Does anybody have any insight about this? We ordered new and improved ACT scores to be sent expedited back on Nov. 14. The very next day, another college acknowledged receiving them, so I assume they must have been transmitted successfully. However, to this day, his USAFA admissions portal doesn't show the new test scores. He contacted our admissions counselor over two separate occasions (the portal instructs applicants specifically to do this) and both times she said something like "great, thanks." However, still the old test scores remain, and no new scores are posted. Is anybody familiar with how scores are processed who can speak to this? Has anyone else had October ACT scores already update on your portal?

Yes, I also sent my October scores and they have yet to update them on my portal too.

I was told by the ACT service that scores aren't sent electronically, but by certified mail on a CD. It's pretty old school. USAFA receives score reports about twice a month. After the scores are received they have to process it and upload it to the applicants portal. In my experience, it takes about a month to turnaround.

We had them sent expedited - costs about $4 more than standard, so it should have been received in a couple of days. And like I said in my original post, one college actually acknowledged receiving the scores the day after I had them sent.

Well either way it's a waiting a game; it will take some time for USAFA to update the portal. They're probably dealing with an influx of score reports.

My October 28 ACT score updated yesterday on two portals. I received my ACT score on the first day they were available, November 14, but the scores are released on a rolling basis. So if your scores came out later, it might take a little longer for them to hit the academy portals.

My DS October 28 ACT scores were released on No 14, with the writing section released later on the same day. Had them sent to USAFA expedited, but they are still not on the portal. Hmm..

USAFA generally does these types of updates in batches, rather than one-by-one as they are received. DS's and DD's both took over a month to be updated. So I would be patient. But if your DS was concerned, he could contact his Admissions Counselor, just to make sure they'd been received.

Mine were rushed, but still not processed by USAFA for 5 weeks. I emailed my admissions counselor about it, to give her the heads-up that my scores were coming, and she said she'd rush them getting processed - you may want to send yours a quick e-mail for the same reason.

We have contacted our counselor twice by email and received very short replies each time. We have also left a voice mail message. I don't think our counselor answers the phone, has never done so and DS has always had to leave messages.

DS took a state administered test in his HS in October and he says his scores have been posted in his portal. Not sure how long the scores have been posted, but he received his results from ACT two weeks ago. The test date was around the middle of the month.

Hooray! DS's portal updated with his new October ACT score. It took 15 days after ordering the score (expedited).
