How quickly will admissions make a decision after you receive an email saying your application is under review?

I’ve been curious about this. Does the portal still just say SUBMITTED, not under review?

I have 2 applicants, one received the notification/confirmation email in early November, the other received it in mid-November. Neither has had a change in application status.

DS submitted his EA application Oct 14. Got an email the day after thanksgiving saying it was under review. He said his portal still says “submitted.” At this point I’ve just accepted the fact that he will hear something by 12/23 and I’m trying my very best to be patient (but it’s so hard!!)
My DD received the email on Oct. 10th and still hasn't had any status change on the portal. She has spoken to the coach and they have told her they will be putting in their supportive comments once they are able to. So now we just wait! It's so hard on these kids (and parents).

Yes! The box that it was reviewed is not checked yet.
That’s when we received the email too! 3 weeks ago the coach reached out and said he was writing up his support of application. We haven’t heard anything either. Although the coach has checked in. The waiting is so hard

That is the same with my applicants. He got the email saying it would be reviewed in 2 weeks on Oct 10 and the coach reached out 3 weeks ago saying he was writing up his letter of support, but we have not heard anything.

Hmmm…My son’s portal doesn’t have a reviewed box, and he did get the “will be reviewed” email. We’ve been wondering about this.
The checklist in my DD's portal didn't update until she received her appointment letter. Instead of the "Cadet Candidate Evaluation Board review complete" checkbox being checked, the entire checklist disappeared and was replaced as shown here. Best of luck to you all!
Same - it's killing her because she has the coach from her second choice school hounding her for a decision. It doesn't help her nerves to have that happening also.

We went the through all the same stuff last year with our daughter. Try not to get too caught up in status in the portal and emails indicating applications to be reviewed in X weeks. None of that seems to be very accurate. Trust me, you'll go mad wondering about every little thing!
Once you submit, the box on the checklist indicating Application Complete - Ready for Review should be checked. After that, just hang on and rest assured you'll know something by 12/23.
Last year my daughter submitted last day of Sep I believe, got a call from coach Tue before Thanksgiving and conditional appointment letter in portal Friday after Thanksgiving. All of those other checkmarks were never checked until sometime after she accepted. LOL

. It just says submitted.
