I was recently accepted to participate in both NASS and SLE. How can I prepare for what I know will be an intense two weeks?

Be physically fit. Practice and be ready to take the CFA. Come with questions that you want to find out from the Cadets and Officers that you'll meet. Find out about the academies AND service afterwards as that is as much a factor in any decision that you make as well.

One of our teens is going from NASS to USAFAss. BGO told her just what is posted above. His other pieces of advice were to SOAK IT IN. Enjoy the experience and use the time to ask questions (start thinking of those questions now) and really look around and take notice of things, people, atmosphere, etc (even though summer). As a female, he also suggested that she ask questions specifically of them that she might have about gender impact. As someone interested in science he advised to ask questions about the majors in her areas of interests (review the website and start thinking of those questions now too).
He also told her to NOT arrive at USAFA and talk constantly about what they did better or differently at NASS. Take each experience for what it is.

She was scheduled also for SLE but had to decline because of other commitments. In her case, USAFA does not give a fitness exam that 'counts', so she has to take the one chance at NASS and make it work. In your case, you will have 2 opportunities to take it. Try hard on both and prepare now, not when school gets out.
