I just wanted some clarification on how the DODMERB process works. I was under the impression that simply completing most of my file will allow a DODMERB to be scheduled. Today, I finished everything except the CFA. I just wanted to make sure that I do not have to complete the CFA before my DODMERB. I am assuming that if that is the case, it's only still saying "No Action" because my file needs review. The reason I don't want to take my CFA yet is because my fitness is my biggest hurdle to cross, and I want to maximize my preparation time. I understand that I can retake as needed, though. I do not expect to perform well on my CFA, but I am confident in my ability to get past the approximate minimum requirements, and I will be doing my best to get close to the goals. As such, a CFA towards the end of the process sounds like the best idea for me. Luckily, my academic profile is extremely strong, and surpasses USMA averages by a good margin. I also have a lot of leadership experience from extracurricular activities, so I am optimistic about how the rest of my file is holding up. Does anyone know the specific requirements in order to get a DODMERB, and whether or not it's likely that they just need to review my file?
