How to update extracurriculars after SSK release?

Post Second Step Kit release I can no longer manually update my extracurriculars and sports. I understand I need to contact the admissions office, but is there a way to view the accepted extracurriculars so I can tell them exactly what I need? (i.e can I see the boxes that can be checked off for my file).

Also, I'm not sure I understand the CAR form. Is that just me putting down all my ECs again and verifying with a guidance counselor? Or will that be my official EC list that West Point uses for admissions?

Thank everyone.

(I am not involved with West Point admissions but to the best of my knowledge): Both. West Point will use that list that your counselor verifies for your application. The pre-admit kit is (I’m pretty sure) just to see whether you’re even qualified to start an application, not something that USMA uses to judge you. If you’re worried about adding more things this year (like team captain, varsity letter, etc) you can always email your admissions officer and ask them to add it to your file. I ended up waiting until the first month of school and then submitting, deciding that I’d just email admissions if I had anything else to add that was of note. Best of luck!

Adding updated information to your application through the admissions office is important. As you know, the application is finalized on January 31. I tell my students to continue to add information, as appropriate, into February. It can't hurt :). Higher scores, new roles, recent promotions, etc. are all items to send in. Good luck!
