Hello, my daughter was treated for hyperhidrosis in 2022. My dd was never medically diagnosed with having it. I took her to a dermatologist and she told the Dr that "I think I have hh". She was prescribed glycopyrrolate 2mg tablets which she is no longer takes. Her condition has cleared and she has not had any excessive sweating issues since. She has been off the medication for over a year. She passed her physical at MEPS but was disqualified for the hh. The Dr she talked to at MEPS saw hh in her medical records and did not even know what hh was. She was sworn in and had to sign a waiver. MEPS scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist. At this appointment the Dr asked her a few questions, touched her hand and said he did not see any reason why she could not serve. We were told this past Tuesday that the SG denied her. My dd was in marching band for 6yrs and JRTOC for 2yrs where she was promoted to XO. She never had any problems with overheating or dehydration. She was able to perform in marching band competitions and pt for JROTC. She graduated high school with distinction. My dd made the decision in the last few months of her senior year that she wanted to pursue a career in the USAF. Is there anything we can do to get the denial overturned by the SG? Any advice would greatly help.
