Did you read the pinned threads in the DoDMERB forum? USAFA will request a waiver if and when you are considered competitive for an appointment. That may be tomorrow, in a week, a month, or unfortunately for many, not at all. It just depends where you are on their "list" of candidates and where you are compared to others, as it is a competitive process. I'm not sure how a waiver request would compare to an LOA or if it does at all - an LOA serves a completely different purpose in the process. Again, I would encourage you to read the many threads discussing waivers in the DoDMERB forum. I know this is stressful - my DS went through the DQ waiver process as well. Hang in there. Hope this is helpful.
