Any nominations yet in the Land of Lincoln?
Despite the fact that my representative's website said candidates would be informed of interviews by now, nobody else from district has heard anything so I'm not worrying just yet.
Concerning our Senators, I got a letter from Burris saying I would not be selected for a nomination like a month ago. I'm presuming because he was being unseated and so wanted to get his slate selected early.
Other than that, your guess is as good as mine
Yes, you are right, Burris did get his slate in early, I got the letter telling me I was on it on October 25th. Also I e-mailed Sen. Durbin's Academy Coordinator yesterday to try and update my file, she responded that the decisions had already been made and letters would be sent out in the next couple of weeks. As for Districts I am in the Jan Schakowsky's 9th district and if I read her website right she will notify her nominees around Dec. 20th. So they are coming soon, but like everything else you just have to be patient
DS got 14th Dist. Nomination on the 3rd.
DS received District 16 nomination on November 15th.
DS received a letter today from Senator Durbin saying he would not be able to offer a nomination. Letter went on to state there were a very high volume of applicants with very outstanding credentials.
I got my nom from the 8th district MOC in November.
My son also received his nomination from the 8th congressional destrict in November.
I just received another nomination from the 9th district
congratulations! I'm assuming it was from Melissa Bean? Where in the 8th district is your son applying from?
Yeah I'm a USAFA candidate from D7 and I haven't heard anything from Rep Davis. FML this is an AWFUL waiting game. And then we have to wait till March. Awesome... Did USNA have like a million applications this year too? My counselor at USAFA said they received the most ever for the class of 2015.
I got a nomination from District 3 on the 17th
Thanks so much - we're in Crystal Lake.
