HI All,

Does anyone have list of Vaccine shots SAs needs at the time of arrivals. May be list from 2025 will help. This will help us better prepare ahead of time. My DS is up-to-date on most of it as per Doctor recommendations, not what is SAs requirements are.

PS : Have posted same question on USAFA forum too.

2 doses of Hepatitis A

3 doses of Hepatitis B (or three doses combination of Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B (TWINRIX))

2 doses of Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)

1 dose Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (TDAP), after 10 years old, after completion of DTAP, recommended to get booster

2 doses of Varicella (Chicken Pox)

1 dose of Meningococcal (Menactra or Menveo) after 16 years old and within the last 5 years

1 dose of Polio vaccine within the last 12 months (just got this one yesterday lol!)

Covid Vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna = 2 doses, Johnson and Johnson = 1 dose)

OPTIONAL VACCINES

2 or 3 doses of HPV depending on age started

2 doses of Bexero or 3 doses of Trumenba (Meningitis B)

Tuberculosis test if needed, based on MEDCOM 829 FORM

All of this is from the 2026 First Admissible Packet, and some of the vaccines (Hepatitis A/B, MMR, Chicken Pox) can be substituted with proof of immunity.

Thank you CrossMT07,

So if the doctor verifies all vaccine records from above list ( taken while growing up) will that enough or we must produce immunity proof with a test ? how and where are those tests available ?

From what I understand, verification from the doctor about the vaccines will be enough, I am going to use a report from my doctor's office with the form provided in the admissable packet.

Thanks Again, Let us know how it goes in terms of acceptance at USMA. My DS has an appointment to USMA. Awaiting overnight visit end of may for final decision :)

I believe your son will have to present a complete shot record that is verified and signed by the doctor.

And just for clarity's sake, while some of the immunizations presumably can be disregarded with proof of immunity, I believe that standard is not being applied for COVID.

I might be mistaken, but I believe the deadline for accepting an appointment is May 1. Did your son already go ahead and accept his offer of appointment, because that option will not be available to him after May 1? He can withdraw after that deadline.

If I understood your post, I have been appointed to USMA for the class of 2026, and I have accepted my appointment! Hopefully, I will see your son on R-Day!

Also, I agree with USMAZoo98, your son may not be able to accept his appointment after May 1st, unless he is in a special situation.

Post our visit to USMA at end of march he is planning to take a decision ( delay decision due to - he has USNA appointment and 3Q+ nom for USAFA) very positive confusion stage :). As a parent we are anxious on rest of logistics and these forums are more than a help.

Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you indicated his visit was at the end of May, which would be too late for a decision. Certainly a visit in March gives him plenty of time.
