Does anyone have a current list of complete vaccines needed for I- day at USAFA that they could post?

There will be a form open in the portal that your appointee will need to complete. These are the items from a couple of years ago, so there could be some changes to these requirements:
  • Polio Vaccine (must be given within six months of admission)
  • Influenza Vaccine (must be current vaccine and have been administered no earlier than July 1st of last year)
  • Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis Vaccine (Tdap)
  • Mumps, Measles, Rubella Vaccine (MMR) - Two Doses (If both doses received prior to January 1, blood titers test required to determine immunity to Mumps)
  • Chicken Pox (Varicella) Vaccine (VAR) - Two Doses
  • Hepatitas A Vaccine (Hep-A) - Two Doses
  • Hepatitis B Vaccine (Hep-B) - Three Doses
  • Twinrix Vaccine (Hep-A and Hep-B Combination) - Three Doses (Not Necessary if Hep-A and Hep-B series received separately)
  • Meningococcal ACWY Vaccine (Menomune, Menatra, Menveo) - Two Doses
You will want start working on immunizations as soon as the form is posted to the appointee portal, but may want to consider getting the influenza vaccine while it is still readily available (I know several parents that had a hard time finding it in the April/May time frame).

Thank you so much. I have heard they may need a TB test also?

I don't recall a TB test requirement for the Class of 2021, but there are small changes in requires from year to year. I would hesitate to start ordering tests or getting additional immunizations until the requirements are posted for the Class of 2023 (with the possible exception being the influenza immunization, as mentioned above).

Speaking from experience, go ahead and get that flu shot. Two years ago, we had to drive 2 hours away to find a pharmacy that still had one when DS got his appointment in mid March. Otherwise, wait on the others.

Class of 2023 requires polio vaccine withing last 6 months. I called the health department, they are refusing to provide the shot because DS has already completed the polio series. However, its not within the last 6 months. Has anyone experience this problem? Should we just find another doctor to give the shot even though DS has already completed the series?

TB is not on the list of required immunizations to receive prior to I-day. For the polio vaccination, check with your child's pediatrician or larger chain pharmacy. There are also preprinted prescriptions on the portal for the polio and Td vaccination that you can take to the doctor or pharmacy as "proof" AFA are requesting these immunizations.

Have DSs pediatrician fill out the entire form with Dates …. Anything that is missing according the SA/Prep-School standards, they will do on the spot soon after they report.
.
I just got the form back today from DDs pediatrician for her NAPS appointment …. Pediatrician says everything is up-to-date. But I was looking at the Instructions myself, and a Polio booster is required after the age of 17 …. I called up to NAPS, and they said don't worry about it. They (NAPS medical) will look over the form and perform anything else they see fit after she reports.
.
So …. anything missing on the schedule is Not a big deal. I don't think you should worry about it.

Your private family physician can be more understanding of the need and not decline immunizations.
If your DD or DS is still in high school, the appointment can or will be considered a "well child" checkup and most, if not all of the immunizations will be covered 100% by insurance.

We were told that because shots are requested by a third party(USAFA) they are not covered by insurance
