I understand that the shoes for indoc have to be a certain model and color. For the color it says that the shoes have to be white w/ blue/royal. Would it be ok if the shoes are GT 2160 with white, blue, and lightning????

Last year they gave us about 3 or 4 choices on the shoes and I couldn't find the exact shoes in his size. I got the same brand and color but a slightly different model. He never got in trouble about it. I think his also had a bit of silver on them. DS doesn't give me much info but the thing I think he was most happy about from our purchases was that we bought totally white socks with no logo so that he could fold them without any color showing!!

Thanks! Now about the socks....do the socks have to be long and free of logos. the description is not clear in which type to buy.

DS said longish (not tennis socks), you pull the up. NO LOGOS no color. good luck in indoc.

It may be too late but if having trouble finding the correct sneakers you can order online - that's what we had to do and there are discount sports "stores" online so we purchased them at a reasonable price as well.

Try the best you can to get what they want, or something very close. You want to fit in and stay under the radar the best you can. Good Luck ay indoc, you will do fine.

Can the socks have "color" on the heel and toe.....they look all white when shoes are on????

Thanks!!

DS's upperclassmen friends highly recommended having one of the four pair listed in Logging In. DS found his without any problem by using the Asics website store locator. He did call ahead to make sure that they had the model he wanted.

DS found his at Zappos dot com ......... great internet shoe store!

Anybody any info on the socks........Can the heel and toe be colored, all you see is white when wearing shoes????

The reason that the socks need to be all white is the way that they fold them for inspection. When you have gray on the toe or heel, it shows for inspection. I also had a hard time finding all white boxer-briefs last year with no color in the waistband. I didn't know (and still don't) if they were picky about this so we went with all white. I had to send more t-shirts at a later date. He wanted them smaller so the part sticking out of his uniform was very tight and flat to his throat/chest. I bought boys instead of men's as my DS is only 5'7".

KP2013momm & Julieannreed Thank you for the sock info!!! On my way to the store to get ALL White!!! I so love these boards:thumb:
