I would say "yes." When I went through OSUT at Fort Benning we had PT every morning at 4:30AM. About 45-minutes of intense exercise and of course, plenty of push-ups and flutter kicks. This was followed by a company run of usually 3-miles but on occasion we ran 5 and sometimes 6 and battalion runs were 8-miles. Return to the barracks, change while still sweaty, eat chow, training all day until late, chow, shower, crash, get up at 4AM and do it all again. By contrast I had a friend in Navy basic training atthe same same. They mostly played volleyball for PT.
