Does West Point have more intense training during Beast compared to Annapolis?

I would say "yes." When I went through OSUT at Fort Benning we had PT every morning at 4:30AM. About 45-minutes of intense exercise and of course, plenty of push-ups and flutter kicks. This was followed by a company run of usually 3-miles but on occasion we ran 5 and sometimes 6 and battalion runs were 8-miles. Return to the barracks, change while still sweaty, eat chow, training all day until late, chow, shower, crash, get up at 4AM and do it all again. By contrast I had a friend in Navy basic training atthe same same. They mostly played volleyball for PT.

Anyone out there been to Beast at USMA and Plebe Summer at USNA?! There is intensity in different dimensions (physical, mental and emotional) that affect people differently. All the SA's first summer's training is intense. You can and should prepare for the challenges that await you. Congratulations on your appointment to The Long Gray Line!
