Are there topics and questions that I can expect during a nomination interview? Or any other tips for interviews?

As an interviewer, I won't be answering the first part as I don't like it to be an open book test.
For the second, dress nicely, be on time and BE RESPECTFUL. Be ready to talk about yourself and what you have done or are doing.
Don't make the interviewer dig for info or guess, try to give answers that are more than a few words and whenever possible, give examples.

great advice for any and all interviews, not just SA nominations!

Use the SAF Search function or a targeted Google search using “site: service academy forums” in your search string for interviews. Dozens of threads with discussion and suggestions.

I have three tips for interviewing:

1. Review your application responses and your resume before the interview. I found that by reviewing my application responses I was to formulate better responses to the interviewer's questions because my responses to those types of questions were fresh in my mind. Reviewing you resume is helpful to know exactly what the interviewer may already know about you and to be able to answer questions about things on your resume.
2. Be yourself, don't try to say what you think the interviewers want to hear. If you are being yourself, you can come up with original responses to the interview questions and you will be able to stand out to the interviewers and not just another interview that they have to get through that day. Being yourself also allows the interviewer to see the passion that you have for what you are speaking about.
3. Stay calm, I know that interviews can be nerve-racking. Staying calm allows you to genuinely think about your responses to the interview questions and be able to coherently respond to them.

Hope this is helpful, good luck.

You can find examples of what kind of questions interviewers will ask online, but there's no guarantee that they'll ask those questions. My interviewer asked my dream car was, for example, although that was more of a survey and not an interview question. The correct answer, of course, is a Ford F-150. Ask yourself what kind of questions you expect to be asked. You should be knowledgeable about what the purpose of the military is, why you want to join, what being an officer means, leadership, and global affairs.

My DS's school set up a "practice interview" for him. Teachers and counselors helped him prepare so he could walk in with confidence. But he always said walked out saying he made a connection, was himself and made them laugh.
