I was curious to know if an interview is needed for West Point. I have done an interview for all other service academies I have applied to and was unsure whether an interview was needed. Am I supposed to be contacted for an interview or should I reach out to my Field Force Representative? Also, I attended SLE and had an interview with my Sergeant, so I wasn't sure if that counted. Thank you and Go Army!

I am pretty sure that the SLE interview nullifies the need for the interview with the Field Force Representative but I would reach out with the Rep just in case

The SLE counts as your interview if it went well. If it did not go well, your RC will have an FFR redo the interview. Another benefit of SLE.

Interviews for USMA are not required but accepted. If you have one completed from SLE you would probably not get another from your FFR. You may also live in an area where there are not many FFRs. Remember the old saying from the FFR/BGO/ALO: I cannot get you in but I could keep you out. Not having an interview in your file will not impact your chances.

They will contact you if they feel they need one. DS never had one.

I did both the SLE interview and a FFR interview (the latter which I reached out to schedule after radio silence) and they were completely identical in questions. The SLE one is a substitute for the FFR one and you don’t need to do it.

Same here.
