ipads at West Point

Hello. I am a recently appointed applicant to West Point '25. I was searching through the threads and couldn't find exactly what I was wondering.

Will ipads be issued by West Point for this incoming class or will that be up to us to purchase on our own?

They will tell us soon I believe. It's coming out with the computer policy thing today actually I think.
 
In the past it has been computers only. I would expect the same unless heard otherwise. If issued, you would still pay for it through the deductions they take from your stipend. If it were me, I would save the money now and just use that to help pay off the loan given ASAP so you don’t get as much deducted from your paycheck.
 
Hey, fellow 25’ here. I already have the new IPad Air with magic keyboard and pencil. Is that the iPad that you are talking about? Also, if it’s issued, do you think I court just keep the one I have instead of having to take a loan for the issued one?
