Is there a way to find out the # of slots open for a specific Senator?

Sorry, I'm really learning a lot as we go along, but this nomination process is really a black box for me.
Thanks!

Your DS or DD could contact the Senator's Service Academy Coordinator and ask. In my DS's experience some MOCs were very forthcoming and others were not about how many slots were open.

It doesn't hurt to ask.

You can also search on here for older threads that discuss the NOM process in more detail. Where a NOM gets charged can be different from where it was issued, so the actual mechanics of how that is done mean less to an applicant then actually getting a NOM. Many who eventually receive an appointment may never know where it was actually charged and at that point, it really won't matter to the applicant anyway.
