Is there an equivalent to CVW at USAFA?

My DS was 100% until he went to Summer Seminar at USNA. Now he’s 100% USNA though he’s still applying to USAFA. I’d love for him to be able to get a taste of SOMETHING at USAFA in case he is privileged enough to have to make a choice between the two. Do they have anything like CVW at USAFA?

We don't exactly have the same program. We have Falcon Visitation Experience(FVE), but that is typically around 20-30 people picked by admissions. If you happen to know a cadet, you can ask them to host you(free+allowed by the rules) and shadow them to everything in the day.

Do you have to be in a specific grade(juinor or senior)?

Personally I am almost done with my candidate kit, as were the majority of the candidates there. 1 or 2 were already done with the kit.

My DD just got an invitation to apply for FVE!!! She’s over the moon because USAFA is her top pick and she’s not anything from them up to this point! (She’s attending Inspire program at USNA later this month and did SLE in the summer.

Here’s the challenge. The session runs from Nov 15-19 (Wed-Sunday) and her congressional interview is that Saturday! She’s going to reach out to the team that sent the invite and ask them if she could leave two days early or if she would have the ability to do the interview virtually. If she’s able to, then she’ll reach out to her congressman’s office and ask if they would be open to a virtual interview.

Does anyone know if USAFA would entertain either of these options? Should she prioritize an in person interview even if her congressman and USAFA will allow a virtual interview?

You should ask the source AKA USAFA, (I know you plan to/are going to contact them) but you shouldnt put yours kids “future” in strangers advice.

FVE was really fun and changed my view of the academy, before I was die hard Navy and now I’m 45/55%. Hopefully she gets to experience that! Good luck.
