Just another stalker dad making a first post. My DD has applied AROTC and is anxiously waiting for the results of the second board. She wants to be an Army Nurse and has applied to several competitive nursing schools, which I'm hearing get approx 1000 applications for around 150 freshman slots in the program. She was passed over on the first AROTC board, but has received encouragement from the ROO at one of her schools that she is looking strong for the second board. Her stats are: 620M/590CR on SATs, 24 ACT, 3.8W GPA, 2 AP and many Honors classes, Senior Captain of three varsity teams (soccer/track/basketball), second chair violin in school orchestra and solist in choir, Honor Society secretary, church youth group leader, and certified youth soccer referee in her spare time on weekends. She did excellent on her PFT and was also was sent to DODMerB after the first board and is medically qualified. She has tasked me with keeping up on when results come out, since she is too busy to stalk like me. This is all new to our family and has been a learning experience as we have walked through this with her and discussed the commitment. Good luck to everyone waiting!
