Good Afternoon,
My DS was accepted to the above schools so far, does anyone have an insight on the ROTC programs offered at these schools? He is awaiting a few other decisions to come in, but would love any personal experiences or info on the schools and programs anyone can offer that I can share with him.

I teach high school in Virginia and JMU is high on the popularity list for our students. Good academics and great partying.

I don’t know anything about ROTC.

Thanks, I am hoping partying isn't on his radar (says every parent before their kid goes to college, lol). We did have an opportunity to tour JMU last year over presidents weekend and he loved it. Its a little further from PA then the others but its at the top of his list.

A friend's son is a junior at JMU (not ROTC) and was only on campus a week before they were all sent home from covid outbreak. Just got to go back in person last week. Might not be a factor in the future, but if you're looking for an on campus experience, he didn't get it this fall.

They were partying too much and COVID spread like a conflagration.

I had to look up conflagration to:
1. Make sure it was a word
2. Find out WTH it means.

Learned something new tonight! Thanks @Devil Doc
Most Marines would have thought that conflagration had something to do with "passing gas" - Our dictionary is limited.

I go to school at another Virginia school and have interacted with some of the JMU cadets. They seem like they have a strong program and some good guys. Very solid option.
