I signed to accept my appointment to USNA.
However, if something happens.........that keeps me from being admitted on I-day

Do I need to go ahead and pay the deposit to my plan b-NROTC or even plan c- civilian instate school?
 
Last year we paid the deposit for the plan B school. Since DS played a spring contact sport we were concerned about possible injuries before I-Day. We notified the plan B school that he would not be attending right after the first phone call of Plebe Summer. It was $500 but I considered it a reasonable insurance premium.
