Hey everybody I just learned my Senator here in Wyoming is going to nominate me! I was just wondering if a thank you card or something else is appropriate to send to his office? Let me know. thanks.
 
He-he, awesome! I'm totally envious now, since you don't have to wait for the darn response anymore. Way to go!
 
I think a thank-you note is a lovely idea. My son sent one, and I was thrilled that he thought of it. He got NAPS, rather than an appt, but he also sent a note after a year there saying something like, "I'm more determined than ever to deliver on your confidence in me."

It's always a good idea to do the right thing.

Son just got the nomination letter from our MOC. LOA and DoDMER also in hand

What MOC did you get nom from? We are in TX as well. Son applied to Senators and our Congressman. Congressman's deadline is Dec 1. On Hutchison's website, it says she coordinates with MOC's to avoid duplication. Our rep's office did tell us that they usually do not get more than 5 or 6 applying to USNA, so all get noms.

Guessing we won't hear anything until January with the holidays and all......
 
Cong. Burgess. We emailed & faxed the LOA from USMMA to Hutchison, Cornyn and Burgess last Thursday. They all told us that the Boards meet Friday Nov 21. Got an email Friday afternoon and the actual letter Saturday. Answers from the Senators should follow soon.

Son just talked to Hutchison's office. They told him that they wouldn't release any information until January! Patience, I am trying to have patience!
