Not a simple yes or no answer, it will depend on a lot of factors. Do they need to study, stand watch, have other new obligations or they may want to spend time with the new friends. Not to say that you aren’t important because you are but they have a lot going on. Best place to get this answer is directly from them. They may not have a quick answer or the answer you want but they will get you the accurate one.

Yes! They may or may not have liberty. But you can always go on the yard if they cannot come off. But *usually* they are able to come off for at least a bit. 3 day weekends are the best time to visit, imo. Especially if they have an overnight they can use, bc it extends their weekend by a night (ie usually they can overnight Saturday and Sunday night, on a 3 day, if they have an overnight).
If they know you are coming, usually they can trade away watch duties if they have them. When we hosted our plebe, he had to study. But was happy to do his school work in our Airbnb.
Adding: always book refundable/changeable. Nothing is ever set in stone. Even if everyone thinks it is.
