My son was invited to apply to LEAP. Any of you AF types out there know much about it?

There is one paragraph in there that is most concerning to me, as a parent. To me, this seems to say, we will do what we want with you, when we want and we will do it with little or no notice.

"I understand that participation in LEAP is voluntary and conditional
upon agreement to maintain proficiency in a designated foreign language.
I also understand that the Air Force may consider my language
proficiency to meet both present and future operational needs including
OCONUS assignments, foreign professional military education,
short-notice tasking and deployments. My status in the program
constitutes a willingness and desire to receive priority consideration
for these operational needs."

Also, wondering if this paragraph means that he could lose his current AFSC be given something else if he chooses to apply to LEAP

Regular officers not career
designated, such as those graduating in 2011 from AFROTC or USAFA.
These 2011 commissioning officers should understand that participation
in LEAP may influence their ultimate career designation or their chosen
language may be changed to accommodate demand signals from career field
functional managers.

My best friend from USAFA is going to start that soon at Maxwell. I'll let you know what she says!
