Our DS received his appointment to the prep school last year at the end of April while he was stationed at Eglin. At that point honestly we had just about given up. Now we are waiting all over again to hear about an academy appointment. He has LOVED his prep year

I got BTZ, Airman of the Quarter, Airman of the year and volunteered a good amount. Also finished my CCAF with a 3.75 GPA. I think I did fairly well in the CFA. Those are the big things.

What were your SAT/ACT scores? Honestly, that is very impressive, as long as you had a solid career as an Airman, and decent high school grades, you shouldn't worry too much. Hopefully you find out by March for sure.

I got a 24 on the act, which isn't very competitive, but I took it again and now I'm waiting for the results. Yeah I feel pretty good about my chances, but we'll see. I just hope I get notified soon, hate waiting.

I wouldnt worry so much about your package because you have solid achievements. I know a friend of mine who got into the PS last year with a 24 ACT. You should be fine, hopefully.

Crazy how you found out so early, and did you get orders already, or how does the prep school work? I know very little of the process once accepted.

Won't be expecting orders until like April. I found out way too early so I have a lot of waiting for orders. You basically get PCS orders since you maintain your rank at the Prep School and it applies to your time in service when you graduate.
