Lease Termination

Hello all,

I’m currently overseas and before I left I was able to terminate a vehicle lease under SCRA. Today I checked online to ensure that the termination has closed my account, however it still shows I’m in ownership of the vehicle.

It’s been a little over a month, so I’m not sure if it’s a little soon for everything to close or if I need to contact someone to make sure they’re doing their job.

"Terminate a vehicle lease under SCRA" is rather vague.
Was your lease in good standing (were you up-to-date with your payments, and there was no breach-of-contract?) before you went overseas?
May we assume that whomever leased you the vehicle had taken ownership of it before you left?
May we assume that you had satisfied the terms of the lease (as far as maintenance and mileage limits, and whatever else they require), prior to your departure?

If that "before" part is all good, then yes go ahead and contact them and ask about updating everything.
