Welcome to the appointees for the class of 2025!
Parents, ready to support to your cadet candidate for the next 4 years?
Come and join West Point Parents Club of Maryland, DC and Virginia.

The club is unique. We offer bus transportation from West Point to the DMV area with several stops along I-95 between White Marsh, Maryland to Fredericksburg, Virginia. We also offer afghans during the cadets graduating year with the class crest.

The club is the only parents club committed to supporting the new Cyber Engineering Academic Center through an annual donation to Association of Graduates Margin of Excellence.

We’ve had the opportunity to support the Washington DC Veterans Senior Living Center with COVID supplies through Operation Golden Shield and and helped the Grad Parents send care packages to deployed soldiers.

Our website contains more information about our programs and membership application.

Service Academy Forums is great — the information, the advice, the humor!

It was a great place to start when my DD was interested in USMA as a high school freshman. It severed her through her cadet candidate journey; from the initial non-acceptance as a direct appointment, followed by an AOG Civil Prep scholarship to Northwest Prep, to current Plebe in the class of 2024, “Like None Before”.

Good Morning all: For DC-MD-VA parents--the buses offered by the club are an absolute reason to join the club even if you never do anything social. Several times a year buses pick up the cadets near the Plain (so on post, very close to where they live)--and delivers them to four stops: White Marsh, Laurel, Springfield (the Hilton across from Springfield Mall), and Fredericksburg. It is cheaper, faster, and easier to arrange than flying--and in truth--you are not driving up to USMA and back all the time.

The buses run for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, and at other times that you would not expect (during a non-COVID19 year) like the non-football three day weekends (President's Day, Labor Day, and Columbus Day) (if you are the parent of a future plebe, your plebe can request to take his or her pass and come home for a few days). Also, there is sometimes a return bus after graduation and a bus to get the new yuks back for CFT in late June/early July.

Parents who live driving distance from the four stops will also arrange for the bus, because it gets your cadet closer, more easily. So, Delaware, Virginia Beach, West Virginia, etc.

I am so thankful to Mr. Ed who runs this program. When I dropped off Captain America in 2012, I had no idea how I would ever get him to our new house in NoVA. Between Captain America and now Baby Moose, it has been almost a decade of bus trips. Thanks to the club for making it effortless and affordable.

Thanks for the information. My son will be joining the Class of 2025. The bus benefit certainly sounds like a great thing given the horror of the 95 corridor. I am all for making some driving trips, but look forward to relief from that as well. We will look to connect with the parents club through the website.
