I was just notified that I have a nomination! I was previously 3Qed and have an LOA. Does this mean I'm in as long as I don't get arrested, do drugs, or my grades drop? If that's true, when can I expect my offer? :D

Thank you!

The wheels turn at their own pace. If all is in order, it could be anytime, but should not be later than the first wave. First wave varies from year to year, but usually around mid to late January.

How do you know you are "3Q"? Is this a letter, portal status, or some other notification? Thanks and congrats!

My RC emailed me saying I was all done. I got another nomination a couple of days ago!

Last year the Admissions committee met today. Hoping they're putting some paper in big fat envelopes today!!!

Dear @GoArmy2022 Remember, last year there was a bulk of excited future plebes around the Nation holding LOAs and Noms--and they had to wait for a big batch of BFEs to be mailed in January. Some waited from August until January...
Hoping that the Big Black Envelope arrives soon and that the bright purple box appears on your portal...but don't forget to enjoy the holidays for the nerves about waiting for a timeline you cannot control. The big mailing from last year occurred in the time frame that it is less than a month.
Do well on your final exams at school, be safe in your winter sport, and enjoy this Christmas with your family...and Go Army! Beat Navy, again!

I am on vacation with my family and I've made sure to spend lots of time with them! (Maybe too much at times! Ha!) It's really exciting to wait on my offer but thank you, all, for reminding me that spending time with my family is important, especially because I live at my high school so I only really see them during breaks! I know that when I get my uniforms with my last name on them, at first all I'll be able to think about is where that name came from, so I'll make sure I take extra care to make sure my family knows how much I love them before I go!

When did you fully complete your application?

I was done with everything in late August but I ran into an issue with DoDMERB and needed a waiver for something. West Point approved my waiver and I was 3Q in November. My LOA came in October after I submitted recent ACT scores but before I had medical clearance, so I was worried about getting denied a waiver (because everyone is) even though I knew my circumstance met the service requirements. Middle of November I got a nomination and everything was done!
