LOA + Nom -- Timing?

Hi there,

I know the answer is probably "it depends," but wondering if kids with LOA + Nom normally hear sooner about their appointments? Or, are they likely to be in the March-April timeframe. Will USMA likely wait for 7th semester grades if already 3Q?

I would think the answer to that would be “yes” as they reserve the right to rescind if they don’t like the 7th semester grade report. Also assuming all qualifiers in the LOA have been met.

If you look at this year's appointment thread, all of the candidates that have been accepted already have had LOAs. I was 3Q/LOA/Nom last year by October and didn't hear until January 15th.

If this year is like the last several years there will be a big first wave of appointments that really launches the acceptance 'season' (mid-January-late April). There isn't a second wave but rather a trickle each week of BFEs and updated portals. First wave...probably around the 15th or slightly later. Sometimes USMA Admissions will post a video or pictures of the BFEs boxed up and ready to mail!
