I received my LOA from USNA in September, pending nomination and medical. Medical was just an orthodontics remedial which was turned in (stating braces would be off) the day before DoDMERB went down, so that is technically still pending. I received my first nomination yesterday. I have kept the LOA quiet because I didn't want to jinx myself. But, now that I have a nomination and medical is a basically a technicality, is it safe to celebrate now?

I'd wait until the appointment is in your portal to accept or decline. Then, pop the sparkling cider.
It is for sure a test of patience waiting for the DoDMERB site to go back live!

Okay.... DoDMERB has updated on CIS and the nomination is showing in CIS. Check marks all the way down. What is the "typical" time line once everything is complete for the LOA to update to appointment?

The portal mainly changes on Thursdays and Fridays. It was a Friday morning when my LOA appeared and also a Friday morning when my portal uploaded my appointment. I would wait until this Friday, then if nothing loads this Friday, probably next Friday.
My offer of appointment just came through!
For future reference:
LOA came September 13th.
All conditions showed complete in CIS December 7th (delay with DoDMERB being down).
December 14th status in CIS changed from LOA to pending and also got a call from my nomination source congratulating me.
December 16th CIS showed offer of appointment.

Congratulations! I am practically in the same situation as you: LoA, nom, and just got my medical checked off two days ago so thanks for sharing your timeline of LoA to appointment
just a question for you or anyone else who saw that change in the portal: does it change from LoA to complete pending review and then to an appointment or does it just change from LoA to appointment?

ah I see it now in your post. I still wonder if that was the case for everyone else who's received an appointment thus far.
Another thread I read said theirs went to complete pending review and they were worried the loa had been withdrawn until someone explained to give it a few days and they would most certainly be surprised with good news.
