Looking for DODMERB for waiver

I am a parent of a Firstie, but seeking guidance for my friend's DD who needs a DODMERB waiver for a skin condition. She has a nomination and all the other qualifications. She is a competitive soccer player and has a rash/open sore that comes and goes on her shin due to wearing soccer shin guards constantly. I appreciate any help and guidance to give to this family. TY in advance!
 
If she is a "competitive" candidate, USAFA may request a review for a medical waiver on her behalf. It's out of the candidate's hands until a medical waiver is requested. At that time, USAFA may ask for additional documentation re: the skin condition
 
She should begin to gather as much information as she can from her doctors about the condition and have it ready to be submitted.
