So I am interested in government and politics, but I also have aspirations of being an intelligence officer for the USAF. Is there a specific major that would be beneficial, or would it be fine to major in political science? Also, if anyone has experience with being an intelligence officer, would they be willing to private message me and share some of their experiences and tips? Thanks!

The Air Force Officer Classification Directory (AFOCD) lists degree requirements by AFSC. Here is the table for 14N - Intelligence Officer.

So what is this really saying? It is mandatory for 30% of the 14N community to have a Tier 1 degree (computer science, engineering, mathematics, etc). It is mandatory for 45% of the 14N community to have a Tier 2 Degree. It is desired for 20% of the community to have a Tier 3 degree. This is a relaxed requirement compared to Tier 1 and Tier 2. It is permitted for up to 5% of the community to have ANY degree. This allows for some flexibility.

Based on this alone, I'd say your best chance is by picking a Tier 2 major which also aligns nicely with your interests. (Political Science falls under Social Sciences).
