March 8th, 2011 AROTC Board

Letting it out must have been good luck! My DS status just changed. Our name is Ja.
 
Has anyone with a last name in the S-Z group received one? I haven't seen anyone, but that doesn't mean anything. I'm a S last name...so losing hope.
 
We are WE and have not seen a change in status.. I dont think there is anyone in that last group who have reported status change. Am I wrong??
 
No idea which school or what scholarship. I just emailed the oh so optimistic ROO and hope he will get back with me. On another note..there were three kids..including my DS...who applied in his class. Two received the DoDMERB packets and one did not. The one who did not was notified by his ROO that he did not receive the scholarship. The other two...including my son...both received a scholarship. So those still waiting..that may or not be the way they are working it this year.

My DS is choosing between Rhodes and Wofford. Don't know how that will work with scholarship.

Wow - a lot of South Carolina schools in the thread today. Where is Rhodes?

yes my DS received packet back in Jan or Feb and was reviewed in the Jan board. Received notification when checking the site about 3:20 today (EST) and name begins with H.
 
Niko's Mom... we may be on to something here. Have you seen anyone with the S thru Z hit the status change list. I know you are a W as well.. Maybe the S thru Z list guy took the day off...

There is a Rhodes in Memphis, it is possible entry is by brigade or OML...
the last two boards were not alphabetical.

AROTC--Got it!!! :shake: Last name starts with Hi I got the DodMerb packet dated on the 8th a few days ago.
I'm going to University of Wyoming--will be the 5th generation from our family to attend.

We received a full scholarship from Rhodes...but there is family ties to Wofford. Not sure how this is all going to plan out. I have a preference but want my DS to make his choice. He is planning to enter pre med wherever he goes but...I'm just happy this stuff is over! Now comes the what are we going to do thing!

Hey Kev Dawg's Pop. I was inactive for awhile. Left work, headed to the store, home with beer in hand. I thought I saw earlier (when they first started moving again with awards), that an S received a scholarship. It would be nice to know anymore movement.

Anyone out there with S-Z that has gotten the good news?
