Marine Option NROTC - Marine Reserves?

So I've been wondering...

I've been told that when you're sworn in to NROTC, you become a member of the Naval Reserves.

My question is that if you're a Marine Option Midshipman, do you become a member of the Marine Reserves?

I'm clueless.

I'm not positive on how the whole system works, but I do know that you are able to "augment", as my dad calls it, active duty. I know that the R in ROTC stands for Reserve, so I don't know how the whole process works, I just know that you can go active duty, otherwise I'd be screwed
