Marine Reserve to USAFA

Thanks in advance. Former CCT guy here. My buddy’s son is a Marine Reservist, with about 2 years left on his contract. High GPA, Eagle Scout etc. He is 21 yoa. Can he get out of his contract if accepted to the USAFA? If so, what’s the process?

I have an absolute ton of prior-enlisted buddies, that is great experience which the Academy honestly really values. He can definitely apply and there are systems in place to help people get out of contracts to attend USAFA, not like he’s trying to get out of contract just for funsies, it’s to continue and advance military service. Tell him to definitely apply, he’ll be a bit of an old head here like me but he should definitely do it
