I have been looking through various threads and noticed a pretty lengthy discussion about USMMA requiring that students have their wisdom teeth removed prior to reporting for school.
Once I got past my initial surprise, it actually does make sense, I guess. I wouldn't want my kid to end up in the middle of an ocean or in some strange port needing to have problem wisdom teeth removed.
My question is, do other maritime colleges have this requirement, as well? Although the rule does seem to have merit, I also wonder what happens to people like me - who have made it to the 50+ age bracket and are still waiting for wisdom teeth to "descend" or whatever it is they do?!
