@sunflower-did USMA just issue a waiver request for your class of 2023 application? If yes, did you recently update your application with some significant new information (eg. Updated SAT/ACT scores)? It is actually not late in the process. Have seen waiver requests come in February and approved in March. Good luck!A bit late in the game to be starting waiver process for 2023 - never say never but time is precious at this late date. Can you clarify your application status and HS class year?
If planning early for 2024 application you have plenty of time for DoDMERB issues.
And please read the DoDMERB forum for a lot more detail.
My DD (2022) was medically DQ'ed last December, and went through the waiver process. She supplied any supplemental info that they requested. At some point (sorry I can't remember specific dates, it was a crazy time), she was given the same opportunity to go up to WP for a medical interview. She went, and it totally made the difference. She had about an hour talk with the Dr. and came home. She was offered appointment early March of last year. IF it is feasible to get there, do it.Thank you all for your feedback. My DS has been in the waiver process since Nov, and has submitted all that has been asked of him and then some. He was recently asked if he would be willing to come to WP for an exam if necessary--that is what prompted my question.
Go if you can USMA is just doing a trust but verify.Thank you @Impulsive and @Goat 965 --we already definitely planned to go--and am grateful to you both for replying.
