We printed the exam packet after doing the lengthy questionnaire. How long should we expect for exam? Had vision test yesterday. Do the doctors upload something? What happens next?

We printed the exam packet after doing the lengthy questionnaire. How long should we expect for exam? Had vision test yesterday. Do the doctors upload something? What happens next?

I would think less than an hour. They will submit the exam for you, but I would ask for a copy to take with you just in case. Also get a copy of your eye exam and hearing test to have in your personal file. My son had to request that things be submitted again because Dodmerb was saying they didn’t have them. He had one in hand and was able to submit it himself then, the others he had to go back to.

I think DS was in there for less than 30 mins and maybe 10 for eyes? I came prepared for it to be much longer. He very clearly went in after two other candidates for something related to DoDMERB so it could have been that this particular contracted VA Dr was used to these and does them often.
