What if you have been going to a psychiatrist since you were 11 and was put on medicine( and still on it) and was also admitted into a mental health center for suicide (which happened 2 years ago) and the psychiatrist says that she has no problem with me going to the military. Would I be disqualified and be able to get a waiver.

For Army at least, I'm sorry to say you have zero chance of being medically qualified. The following are considered non-waiverable conditions:

1) Any behavior health condition that is chronic, recurrent, or required more than 12 months of continuous treatment.

2) Suicide attempt and/or suicide gesture.

For Navy, the following are generally non-waiverable:

  • Psychiatric Conditions: Schizophrenia; Major Depression, recurrent; Bipolar Disorder; Panic disorders; Sexual disorders; and Personality disorders, severe.

You need to look elsewhere. Best of luck.

Ok Im applying for the Marines at USNA. Thank you though.
I edited my reply to include the Navy standard. You really stand no chance I'm afraid, but apply if you wish and let the process do its thing.

Ok Im not sure if I was officially diagnosed, but can't the doctor write things on her opinion about and could that help my case?

Attempted suicide will be non waiverable.

You stated in the OP "admitted into a mental health center for suicide" If you really think that you could argue that going to commit and Suicide attempt and/or suicide gesture are different enough to grant a waiver then go ahead and apply. But IMHO you have slim to zero chance.

If you do try, make sure you have a solid backup plan.
