Hi! When filling out medical- lets say you fainted once- do you check yes fir history of syncope? or do you only check yes if a Dr has diagnosed a condition?

You don’t self diagnose. If you went to a doctor for it, report it.
I’ll also add, if your DR diagnosed it. I would check with your DR. For example, you could go see the Dr with difficulty breathing (during a cold), but that doesn’t mean you have asthma. You may think it’s asthmatic, but your DR may not have diagnosed you with asthma.

Check your medical records for any diagnosis, if that’s what’s ansked. And answer the question as asked.

Syncope (loss of consciousness) can occur if your blood pressure were to drop below some threshold that is dependent on your health situation.

If you are really fit and healthy, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

If it happens again, you should see a doctor about it.

On a spring day in 2016, I lost consciousness while drinking my morning coffee at the kitchen table. I was on my side in a pool of blood on the ceramic tile floor. My coffee cup hit the floor and shattered before my head landed on the broken glass.

My wife discovered me and shook me into consciousness, and then hurried me to the hospital.

If it was fainting during a blood draw (vasovagal syncope), don't check yes for that question...

Kid was among the 10 - 15 people around him during the blood draw during I-Day that passed out (vasovagal). Kids were dropping like flies during that time. :p

He had barely had any food or water all day, and that seemed to be the cause for many.

You guys are mixing things up here …. There are different severity levels … squimishness, hyperventilating, then loosing some control is very “Low level”

A person can enter a state of unconsciousness instantaneously where they have No recollection of how they got there and how fast it occurred …

It is deeper than sleep and you lose all memory of it … you lose all history of entering the deep state … and you have no idea how long you were in that state …. It is the most weird thing that could possibly happen to you.

When you come out of it … you are asking yourself “How did I get here?”

This is Not how you would prefer to enter a state of unconsciousness …

You would prefer to have time to act to put yourself in a better “Posture/Place/Setting” so that you don’t injure yourself or anyone else.

I know what it’s like …. I lost all time and I was severely injured …

I am lucky that my wife found me.
