Does anyone here know the latest date for medical waivers to be received by eligible applicants? Signing date for most colleges is May 1st. Getting more than a little anxious. Thank you.

May 15th is what I was told when I was going through my waiver process. I'd email your admissions officer though to ask for a possible update because, you're right, that signing deadline is coming up soon.

My daughter will reach out to AO next week. Meanwhile I will try to be patient. Plan B schools are coming at our kids pretty hard so that helps.

If USCGA is her first choice, she could reach out to her Plan B and let them know the situation. Many people accept and even put down a deposit on a Plan B school, knowing they will decline if everything works out for the SA. It is best if the Plan B school knows the situation. Some people do this even after getting into the SA in case their child doesn't make it through Swab summer. Some plan B schools will hold the spot and even refund the deposit. I have heard of a few who are not as understanding though, so it is best to be honest with Plan B admissions if you decide to do that.

Very sound advice. Thank you!

Especially if there are Plan B coaches and roster spots involved. Even in D3 they like to know where they stand.

We went for another visit this past weekend. Were told that the waivers will come out in bulk. Ironically, son's waiver just came through. Not sure if that helps alleviate anxiety or not. He is still undecided

Is he waiting to hear from someplace else or just generally undecided about the CGA?

DD just received medical waiver was denied. Her hearing loss is too severe for a waiver so her conditional appointment has been withdrawn.
Good luck to all!
I’m sorry for your DS. I hope that she finds a new passion to pursue. If she is interested in military service in general, other branches may not be as strict. All the best to her!

Hi @GirlGeek, sorry to hear this. What were the hearing specifications? Could you please share?
