I was medically disqualified for my flat feet. I finished my application to USAFA in December, but I've heard nothing back. As soon as I got my medical disqualification, I contacted my admissions counselor to tell her. She said that the academy will initiate a medical waiver process if the academy deems you competitive with others in your district. Now, on the sheet of medical disqualification that I received in early January, it said the academy will notify the applicant if they choose to initiate the waiver process based on competitiveness. Since direct appointments will be out no later than Tuesday and I haven't heard from the academy saying they'll start a waiver by now, I can assume that I am not accepted. If they were to initiate the waiver process, I think they would have done it by now unless flat feet is one of the things that can't be waived.

I am on the same boat as you, though I received my disqualification a few weeks ago. I think you're right, we would have heard back by now if they wanted to give us a waiver. I received my TWE from the USNA and it still says "under waiver review" on the DODMERB website for USNA. The same goes with the USAFA, but I haven't received a TWE yet.
