Mentor ALO Information

I just filled out an application for the Summer Seminar, and I got an automated email telling me to contact my mentor ALO. I'm vaguely aware of what an ALO is, but I'm not sure how to write the first email. How should I address my new mentor, and is there anything, in particular, that should be contained in the contents of the first email?

Just write an email.

"Hi sir/ma'm!" I'm XXXX and I applied to the USAFA summer seminar. When I did, your name popped us as my "Mentor ALO." I kinda know what an ALO is but..."

We don't expect much, but a proactive email is always a welcome introduction!

Sorry for tagging onto this thread but will the Mentor ALO you receive for summer seminar be the same as the one when applying to USAFA later?

I already emailed my ALO and in her response, it seemed abundantly clear that she will by my ALO for the entire process.
