So I although I passed the PIP test, i did a more extensive test and found out I have very mild red green colorblindness.
Will I still be eligible for AFROTC scholarship, and can I go into non-rated positions, which I prefer?

Please be encouraged to use the search feature for data, as this has previously been answered by "the" expert, last year - I'll copy and paste that person's response below.

FACTS:

1. "Mild" is not a discriminator. Actual test results are.
2. Sea Services = NROTC, USNA, USCGA, USMMA have a color vision requirement that is rarely waived. USNA allows a very small percentage for the entire Brigade to be color deficient.
3. NROTC, USMC Option, has NO color vision requirement.
4. USAFA and AFROTC have NO color vision requirement for admission and scholarship activation respectively. (Pilots and other specialties do have color vision requirements)
5. West Point and AROTC have the requirement to see Vivid Red/Green

I'll add that most AF officers are not pilots, and yet if you're interested in becoming a pilot with color blindness, please complete your research (can search the board as a start) for why red green differentiation importance for pilot navigation/ orientation.
